Need a boost to reach your fitness goal?

I’m closing in on 40 and I’ve always been super athletic and my goal is to keep working out like I’m 20 for as long as I can. Over the last year I’ve had some nagging injuries. I can still do the same amount of work, run the same distances, but what used to be a silly little pull now takes days to recover from.

I was complaining about my tendonitis in a recent pilates class when my friend asked me if I’d ever tried full spectrum hemp oil. I’d never heard of it. She said it was derived from the cannabis plant and reduces inflammation and relieves pain – she assured me it doesn’t get you high since I mentioned I am really paranoid about that.

It was all-natural, the kind of thing I’d been looking for. So I started poking around and came across Jenny’s Baked at Home. Right away Jenny’s story—being a cancer survivor and single mother—grabbed me.

I purchased a Hemp-Infused Coconut Oil, which has MCT oil to build muscle in addition to full spectrum hemp oil, and the topical Lemon Basil Healing Balm for post-workout stiffness and pain.

I tried the Hemp-Infused Coconut Oil first, using a stick blender to mix it into a smoothie. As I was stretching, I noticed myself pleasantly drifting from thought to thought rather than ruminating about how my knee would hold up during the long run I had planned. I finished my stretch and hit the pavement, running 8 miles as usual. I thought it was somewhat easier than normal, but couldn’t be sure whether or not it was the placebo effect.

After getting home and taking a shower I applied the Lemon Basil Healing Balm to my knees—the usual problem area due to a nagging tendonitis—and was amazed to find relief almost instantaneously. I felt like I could do squats (I didn’t). The next morning I woke up and experienced significantly less aches and pains than usual.

Long story short? I was skeptical about full spectrum hemp oil, but now that I’ve seen what it can do and how there’s really no downside — no side effects, nothing that’s rough on your gut or long-term health — Jenny’s products have become a part of my workout routine.
