This is a quick an easy go-to recipe. I’ve heard about people who don’t like avocado— an abomination. The toast in this recipe is simply a vessel for the everything else, i.e. avocado, seasoning mix, and CBD olive oil.
Some people find plain avocado toast is a little one-note in the texture department. The seasoning mix adds lots of texture and flavor. The dried garlic, dried onion, and red pepper flakes have condensed flavor that gives the toast a sharp and tantalizing bite. The seasoning mix yields about 4 tablespoons, enough for several slices of toast. Just store the remainder and use at your leisure.
Avocados are a great source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants including vitamins C, E, K, B-6, riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, potassium, beta-carotene, lutein, and omega-3 fatty acids. This is a great breakfast (or snack) and an excellent way to get your morning dosage of CBD oil. Cannabinoids (CBD) are purported to help alleviate things like anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain, and more. It’s better to stave off ailments early on, don’t you agree?
:: AVOCADO TOAST WITH SUNFLOWER SEEDS ::
Servings: 2 // Total Time: 15-20 minutes
For seasoning //
• 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
• 1 tablespoon dry minced onion
• 1 tablespoon dry minced garlic
• ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
For toast //
• 2 sliced whole-grain bread
• 1 large avocado, mashed
• 1 tablespoon Jenny’s Baked at Home CBD Infused Olive Oil
• 1 pinch of salt
Seasoning mixture //
Place seasoning mixture in a small to medium sized skillet. Toast mixture on medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Transfer to a small bowl and set aside.
Preparing toast //
Place avocado in a small bowl, add CBD infused olive oil and a pinch of salt. With a fork, mash mixture until creamy. Put bread into toaster and toast until golden brown. Set toast on plate and evenly spread on avocado mixture. Sprinkle 1-2 teaspoons seasoning mixture over the top of toast. Store any unused seasoning mixture in a glass or spice container. Serve while toast is warm and enjoy!
